Physics Lab

Lab Introduction

Physics Lab is the place where students learn about science through demonstration. Physics is basically the scientific study that how motion, light, heat and force interact with energy and matter, so Physics Lab should have variety of apparatus to perform such kind of experiments.

The Basic Sciences and Humanities department has a well-equipped Physics Lab which contains a variety of instruments to conduct experiments related to modern physics, electricity & magnetism, waves and mechanics and applied physics in order to enhance the technical and engineering approach of the students. A list of selected experiments, which the students can perform related to their programs, is given below:

  1. To find the frequency of A.C. Mains by Meld’s experiment
  2. To determine e/m of electron by deflection method
  3. To determine the resolving power of diffraction grating by using spectrometer
  4. To study the variation of photoelectric current with intensity of light
  5. To find the speed of sound by resonance method
  6. To study the temperature dependence of different resistors and diodes

To draw B-H curve of ferromagnetic material using galvanometer, etc
